Wool Embroidery By Hand

  • EVENT DATE: 10/30/2020
  • TIME: 10-12

Learn how to applique wool onto cotton using basic hand embroidery stitches while making the top of a mug rug or table topper. We will learn how to use wool applique in design areas to add texture to a table topper or mug rug. We will also review ways to use the running stitch, the backstitch, chain stitch, stem stitch, and French knots in this fast paced class. This is a great refresher if you haven’t hand-stitched since forever ago. Newbies and other enthusiasts are also welcome.

Pre-work: Review the pattern and decide the size of project you’d like to do. Trace at least one flower and leaf on the doodle cloth to audition your threads in class.

Optional pre-work: Feel free to trace the design (or the part you’d like to use) on the cotton fabric if you’d like before class.
